One person died after a landslide struck Patal village in Maval tehsil of Pune district on Monday. Two more people are feared trapped beneath the debris, officials said. The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, triggering an emergency response from local authorities, ANI reported.  NDRF, PMRDA launch search and rescue operation The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA), local administration and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are carrying out an intensive search and rescue operation at the site. Following a distress call, the District Information Office requested immediate assistance from the NDRF. A specialised 30-member rescue team from the 5th Battalion, based in Pune, was rushed to the affected village. The operation is being led by Inspector Ravinder under the supervision of Assistant Commandant Chandraketu Sharma.
