Firm among top poll bond buyers bags MSRDC contract | Mumbai News
The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has awarded contracts for several projects, including one to Hyderabad based firm Megha Engineering — which has bagged four bids to build various sections of the Alibaug Virar Multi Modal Corridor (MMC), and the Pune Ring Road. Megha Engineering was recently in the news for purchasing electoral bonds, most of which were redeemed by the ruling BJP. The company is already engaged in other major infrastructure projects in Mumbai and the MMR, such as the BMC’s road contracts and the MMRDA’s twin tunnel project civil works. The construction of the access-controlled expressway connector to Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg from Jalna to Nanded has been awarded to Roadway Solutions India Infra Limited. This project includes Package 6 Part-A, covering 13.434 km from Borgaon to Degloor in Nanded district on National Highway (NH161), and Part-B, which involves improving the road from Hingoli Gate to Chatrapati Chowk in Nanded City.
