India issues fresh travel advisory, urges citizens to leave Iran

India has once again advised its citizens to avoid travelling to Iran and urged those currently in the country to leave using available transport options amid rising tensions in the region, reported the PTI. The Indian Embassy in Iran issued the fresh advisory on Monday following recent developments that have heightened security concerns. “In view of the latest developments in the region, the Embassy reiterates its earlier advice to all Indian nationals to avoid any travel to Iran,” the embassy said in a statement posted on X. The advisory also urged Indian citizens already in Iran to leave the country through available means of transport. The warning comes after Israel carried out air strikes targeting locations in central and western Iran on Monday. The strikes were launched in response to missile attacks from Tehran, according to reports.
