Chandigarh Chord | NEET issue: A betrayal of merit, trust and dreams of millions

Chandigarh Chord | NEET issue: A betrayal of merit, trust and dreams of millions

For over three decades, I have taught physics to students preparing for medical entrance examinations. During this time, I have seen countless students from modest backgrounds achieve success through dedication and hard work. Parents have invested their savings, believing that honesty and merit would ultimately be rewarded. When merit is compromised, students lose faith, institutions lose credibility, and society pays the price. Recent incidents of paper leaks and examination irregularities have shaken that belief. These are not merely administrative failures; they represent a serious threat to the credibility of our education system. When merit is compromised, students lose faith, institutions lose credibility, and society pays the price. After paper leaks, students begin to question whether effort still matters. The resulting frustration can leave lasting emotional scars. For these students, an examination is far more than a test—it represents years of aspiration and sacrifice. When its integrity is compromised, trust in the system is shattered. Why it matters more in NEET Medical education occupies a unique position in society because doctors are entrusted with human lives. …

124M Passwords Exposed as Infostealer Malware Hits Millions of Devices

The era of hacking corporate databases may be giving way to something far more direct. Have I Been Pwned has added a massive collection of infostealer malware records containing 124 million passwords and 56 million email accounts. The credentials came from stealer logs created by malware that harvests sensitive information from infected devices. The dataset offers a snapshot of how cybercriminal tactics are evolving. As infostealer malware becomes more widespread, attackers are increasingly bypassing organizations altogether and collecting credentials directly from users, creating fresh and simpler opportunities for account takeovers and broader cyberattacks. What happened and why it matters The most striking detail isn’t when the data appeared — it’s how much of it exists. 56 million unique email addresses and 124 million unique passwords were included in the infostealer dataset added to Have I Been Pwned. While the collection was added on June 15, the platform did not specify when the credentials were originally stolen. What is clear is that the records came from malware-infected devices rather than corporate breaches, reflecting a growing shift …

Malicious WhatsApp, Slack Alerts Could Have Exposed Millions of Android Users

A routine phone notification could have become an attack path for Google Gemini on Android, according to new research from SafeBreach. The now-mitigated issue involved crafted alerts from WhatsApp, Slack, SMS, Signal, Instagram, and Messenger. SafeBreach said the alerts could influence how Gemini handled notification text, alter spoken responses, impersonate trusted contacts, trigger connected tools, and poison long-term memory. Google addressed the issue with server-side content-classifier improvements. Researchers found no evidence of real-world exploitation. Researchers found a notification-based prompt injection path SafeBreach Labs said its researchers found the issue while testing Gemini’s Android Utilities feature, which can read and respond to phone notifications. The flaw affected how Gemini processed untrusted notification text from messaging and social apps. The research was published on June 3 by Or Yair, security research team lead at SafeBreach. It followed the company’s earlier “Invitation Is All You Need” work, which showed how malicious Google Calendar invites could manipulate Gemini. “The main purpose of Fake Context Alignment is to create a dual illusion: presenting a legitimate authorization scenario to Gemini’s behind-the-scenes …

iPhone Exploits, Zero-Days Put Millions at Risk

Apple’s security year so far has been anything but quiet. Below is a breakdown of the company’s key security events so far this year. Apple’s first zero-day of 2026 One of the most significant security events of the year came in February, when Apple disclosed CVE-2026-20700, a vulnerability affecting a core operating system component known as dyld. They clashed with Amitabh Bachchan, made millions, but Bollywood still mocked Ramsay Brothers | Bollywood News

At a time when Bollywood was dominated by romantic and social dramas, and very few filmmakers dared to explore horror after films like Mahal and Bees Saal Baad, it was the Ramsay Brothers in the 1970s who took the box office by storm by tapping into a genre that was largely untouched. Films like Do Gaz Zameen Ke Neeche, Purana Mandir, Veerana, Purani Haveli and Bandh Darwaza became massive hits. Despite their success, the industry often mocked them and reduced them to “C-grade filmmakers.” Now, Deepak Ramsay, son of director Tulsi Ramsay, has opened up about those years when people within the industry laughed at the Ramsays despite their films consistently succeeding at the box office. ‘Movies made on shoestring budget was a joke to the Kapoors’ Speaking to Hindi Rush, Deepak said, “Our movies were made on a very shoestring budget. It was experimental cinema at that time. You were gathering new artists, introducing creatures, taking the team to Mahabaleshwar, and then making the entire film there — it was like a joke for …

The man who made millions believe: How NT Rama Rao brought Lord Rama to life in Telugu cinema | Telugu News

There is a number that tells you everything you need to know about what N.T. Rama Rao did to Telugu audiences when he played Lord Rama on screen. In 1963, united Andhra Pradesh had a population of roughly three crore people. A film called Lava Kusa sold 1.98 crore tickets. The ticket price at the time was between 25 paise and one rupee. These were not wealthy people spending disposable income on entertainment. These were farmers, labourers, and small-town families who saved up, travelled to the nearest cinema hall, and sat in the dark watching a man they already half-believed was God. That man was Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. And the role of Lord Rama was where his career stopped being about cinema and started being about something harder to explain. NTR made his debut as an actor in a Telugu social film Mana Desam, directed by L.V. Prasad in 1949. For the first several years of his career, he was primarily a mainstream commercial hero. Mythological cinema came later, and it came gradually. After …
