Afghanistan has accused Pakistan of the carrying out the attack. Rashid, who was captain of the Afghanistan T20I team until the end of their campaign in the recently concluded 2026 T20 World Cup, called upon the United Nations and other human rights agencies to “thoroughly investigate this latest atrocity and hold the perpetrators to account”. “I am deeply saddened by the latest reports of civilian casualties as a result of Pakistani airstrikes in Kabul. Targeting civilian homes, educational facilities or medical infrastructure, either intentional or by mistake, is a war crime. Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi and Rahmanullah Gurbaz speak up urging Taliban to not stop medical education for women | Cricket News

Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi and Rahmanullah Gurbaz speak up urging Taliban to not stop medical education for women | Cricket News

Afghanistan’s greatest cricketer Rashid Khan was joined by their senior most international Mohammad Nabi and current batting sensation Rahmanullah Gurbaz in urging the ruling Taliban to reconsider their ban on women’s medical education – lending their heft to growing discontent about stringent curbs on freedom of women. This week was the last straw as the Taliban announced a decree forbidding women from attending institutions offering medical education. It effectively bans women from nursing and midwifery training. After coming to power on August 15, 2021, the Taliban had barred girls from attending secondary school beyond Class 6 by September of same year. By December 2022, there was a complete ban on girls and women from attending higher education. However, nursing and midwifery were seen as the final loophole left in an otherwise absolute denial of any education to women. Rashid, the country’s most-recognisable face in international sport, with cricket being their biggest mainstream representation at the highest level, was quick to voice his dismay on the rigid stricture. In a detailed post on Wednesday, written in …

Afghanistan ride on Allah Ghazanfar’s 6-fer to trigger monumental Bangladesh collapse, win 1st ODI – India TV

Image Source : ACBOFFICIALS X Allah Ghazanfar missed his hat-trick but picked up three wickets in an over on the way to a magnificent six-wicket haul Bangladesh botched up a rather straightforward run-chase horribly to end up conceding the first ODI of the three-match series against Afghanistan in Sharjah on Wednesday, November 6. Bangladesh went from 120/2 to 143 all-out, losing their last eight wickets for just 23 runs to bottle what was looking like a comfortable situation they were in, chasing a modest total of 235 runs. Allah Ghazanfar was the star of the show for the Afghans, registering the second-best-ever figures for Afghanistan in ODIs, taking 6/26. The partnership had crossed 50, skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto was heading towards his half-century, Mehidy Hasan had started to get going and it looked hunky-dory for Bangladesh until it wasn’t. Bangladesh had lost an early wicket but Soumya Sarkar and Shanto had repaired the innings beautifully. However, nothing of it mattered really as Ghazanfar was in a demolition mood and some. It all began with Mohammad Nabi, …
