Silchar: A 57-year-old non-teaching staff of Assam University Silchar (AUS) was arrested on Sunday for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old student in the university, police said. Rajampet sub-divisional police officer N Sudhakar said Anjaneya Prasad arrived from Kuwait recently and beat his physically challenged relative P Anjaneyulu (59) to death with an iron rod for allegedly sexually abusing his daughter. “Anjaneya Prasad came to India in the first week of December and killed Anjaneyulu in the intervening night of December 6 and 7 when the latter was sleeping outside his home,” Sudhakar told PTI, about the incident which occurred at Obulavaripalli in Annamayya district. Chennai: A man was arrested for allegedly molesting a female co-passenger aboard a Delhi-Chennai IndiGo Airlines flight. The accused, identified as 45-year-old Rajesh Sharma, is a marble tile layer by profession. He was apprehended after the flight landed at the Chennai airport on October 9. The woman was traveling back home after a trip to Jaipur and Delhi. “The accused, who was seated behind her, is alleged to have touched her inappropriately during the flight”, a police officer told NDTV. New Delhi: A railway employee was beaten to death by a girl’s family members and other passengers aboard a train to New Delhi early on Thursday after he allegedly sexually assaulted the 11-year-old, police said. According to officials, a family from Siwan had boarded the Humsafar Express from Bihar’s Barauni Bihar to New Delhi on Wednesday and, around 11.30 pm, Group D railway employee Prashant Kumar made a 11-year-old girl from the family sit on his seat. When the girl’s mother went to the washroom later, Kumar allegedly molested the girl.  As soon as the woman came out of the washroom, the girl ran to her, hugged her and began crying. According to the Kashmira police, the 58-year-old sanitation worker identified as Rajendra Tusabar molested the 12-year-old girl while she was going home from her tuition class on Wednesday (September 11) afternoon. “Tusabar entered the lift while it was going up and molested the minor, following which he threatened to kill her if she told anyone about it,” the police added. However, the girl came home and told her parents about the incident, after which the victim’s parents reached the nearest police station and lodged a complaint.
