Mughal-E-Azam is considered as one of the greatest films ever made in Hindi cinema. Directed by K Asif, it was one of the most expensive films of its time and faced many delays because of its elaborate production. However, the delays were worth it as the film was an instant hit and the audience queued up for days to get tickets for the Dilip Kumar, Prithviraj Kapoor and Madhubala film. In a recent chat, veteran actor Raza Murad said that the queue to buy tickets for the film lasted for two days and extended to over 5 kms. Raza’s father, Hamid Ali Murad was also part of the iconic film. He played the role of Raja Man Singh.
