Constitution Day celebrated by various organizations, departments

Ambedkar, who chaired the drafting committee. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Research and Extension Centre, University of Mysore, held a special lecture to mark the occasion on the topic Indian Constitution and Contemporary Society, which was delivered by retired judge and Lokayukta Santosh Hegde. The event was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor of the University of Mysore N.K. Lokanath, who said that social changes in the present times by way of women empowerment, progress of the backward class groups, etc., was made possible only by the Constitution.
