Neetu David Joins UP Warriorz as Head of Scouting Ahead of WPL 2027
The former India spinner Neetu David has been appointed as head of scouting for UP Warriorz ahead of the Women’s Premier League 2027 season. The 48-year old former Railways player will take over from Rajib Dutta and will be part of the support staff led by head coach Abhishek Nayar, who took over as the head coach of the franchise last season. Neetu David has featured in 10 tests and 97 ODIs in her international career spanning over 13 years. She has picked 182 wickets and holds the record for the best bowling figures in an innings in women’s test, having claimed 8/53 against West Indies in the 1995 Jamshedpur Test. Neetu David was also inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame in 2024. She also previously served as the chairperson of the selection panel for the Indian women’s national team.
