Dhurandhar The Revenge Box Office Collections: Ranveer Singh film approaches Rs. 900 Cr Nett in Hindi

Dhurandhar The Revenge Box Office Collections: Ranveer Singh film approaches Rs. 900 Cr Nett in Hindi

Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Hindi) collected Rs. 8.50 crore nett approx on its 3rd Tuesday at the Indian box office. Tuesday held steady with Monday, showing no drop. That is probably due to Tuesday having extra audiences because it’s a discount day, even though the film hasn’t opted for discounts yet. The Ranveer Singh starrer now stands at Rs. 887 crore nett approx after 20 days of release. The third week has brought in Rs. 85.50 crore nett approx in five days, with the full week headed for Rs. 98-100 crore nett. In addition, the film has collected Rs. 53 crore nett from the South-dubbed versions, giving it a total of Rs. 940 crore nett nationwide.  There might be some sense of underwhelm seeing the film fall behind in daily collections, but that was always how it was supposed to be. The first Dhurandhar started slow, then picked up over the weekdays, and it was in the second week when it started doing record numbers. It was as if the second week functioned as the opening …

Highest Grossing Bollywood Films in India – Dhurandhar The Revenge Tops, First to Rs. 800 Cr Nett

Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues to storm the box office with its historic run. The Ranveer Singh starrer netted over Rs. 812 crore at the Indian box office, with Rs. 766.50 crore nett coming from the Hindi version alone, while the South Indian dubbed versions contributed a sum of Rs. 45.50 crore so far.  With this sort of impressive run, the spy action drama emerged as the first Bollywood film ever to hit the Rs. 800 crore nett benchmark in India. The first Dhurandhar came close to Rs. 800 crore nett but missed by Rs. 10 crore. For the record, Dhurandhar had collected around Rs. 789.50 crore nett at the domestic box office in its full run of over 100 days.  Unlike Dhurandhar, the sequel has the benefit of being released in dubbed South languages- Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, other than paid previews. Dhurandhar: The Revenge took only 13 days to smash this historic milestone. It is on course to race past the Rs. 1000 crore nett mark in India by the end of its theatrical run, …

Can Dhurandhar The Revenge cross Rs. 1000 Cr Nett and become Highest Grossing Film in India?

Can Dhurandhar The Revenge cross Rs. 1000 Cr Nett and become Highest Grossing Film in India?

Dhurandhar: The Revenge has been a box office juggernaut ever since its release last week, smashing virtually every initial record for a Hindi film. The focus now shifts to what sort of records it will break and benchmarks it will set for the full run. It will certainly become the highest-grossing Hindi/Bollywood film of all time, no prizes for guessing that. One benchmark that it has its eyes on is Rs. 1000 crore nett. Beyond that, could it possibly take on Pushpa: The Rule as the highest-grossing film in India? The answer at this moment appears to be, yes and may be. As of its 2nd Friday, the film has collected Rs. 606 crore nett approx in Hindi. Based on its Friday haul, the film should be able to collect over Rs. 150 crore nett, likely Rs. 160 crore nett in its 2nd weekend. That will put its total, well north of Rs. 700 crore nett by Sunday, around Rs. 725-735 crore nett or so. From there, the road to Rs. 1000 crore becomes significantly shorter, with …

Hindi Films Single Day Box Office Collections Benchmarks: Dhurandhar The Revenge first to Rs. 100 Cr Nett

Hindi Films Single Day Box Office Collections Benchmarks: Dhurandhar The Revenge first to Rs. 100 Cr Nett

Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Hindi) collected Rs. 101 crore nett approx yesterday, on its fourth day of release. With that, the Ranveer Singh starrer has become the first Hindi film ever to hit the triple-digit benchmark. Earlier, the film also cleared the Rs. 80 crore and Rs. 90 crore benchmarks on Saturday. It did hit Rs. 100 crore across all versions, but missed narrowly in Hindi only. On Sunday, it completed the job and etched its name into history. Looking back, it was Ghajini that first hit Rs. 10 crore nett in a single day, doing so on its second day of release. It took another two years for Dabangg to cross Rs. 15 crore nett, again on its second day. It very nearly did Rs. 20 crore as well on the third day, which Salman Khan himself crossed next year with Bodyguard and then followed with Rs. 25 crore and Rs. 30 crore by Ek Tha Tiger in 2012. This was the period of rapid growth in the initial business, as the release sizes were …

Early Box Office Trends: Dhurandhar The Revenge (Hindi) charging towards historic Rs. 100 Cr nett on Sunday

Early Box Office Trends: Dhurandhar The Revenge (Hindi) charging towards historic Rs. 100 Cr nett on Sunday

Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Hindi) is set for history today as it is moving towards Rs. 100 crore nett single day. The film narrowly missed the century mark by just Rs. 4 crore yesterday. It did hit the benchmark across all versions, but the industry tends to prioritise the Hindi version reporting, and it was a bit sad to see it miss coming so close. Not too sad because it was known that it would have another shot at it on Sunday, and that is what it seems to be doing.  The way morning and matinee shows have gone today, plus advances for evening & night baked in, the film appears likely to breach the benchmark today. The likely number at the moment seems to be around Rs. 105 crore nett, with clearer estimates to emerge as the day progresses. This was largely anticipated since advances for today were ahead of yesterday. However, the limitation wasn’t demand; it was capacity. No matter how strong the advances are, ultimately, you can only collect as much as capacity …

Dhurandhar The Revenge Box Office Collections: Ranveer Singh starrer posts Rs. 100 Cr Nett day in India on Saturday

Dhurandhar The Revenge Box Office Collections: Ranveer Singh starrer posts Rs. 100 Cr Nett day in India on Saturday

Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Hindi) collected Rs. 95-96 crore nett approx on its third day at the Indian box office. The South-dubbed versions of the film were also released yesterday, which brought in Rs. 8 crore nett approx. All that combined, the Ranveer Singh starrer crossed the Rs. 100 crore nett benchmark for Bollywood, with Rs. 103-104 crore nett approx. It missed hitting the century mark in Hindi alone, which it will attempt today, with advances being over Saturday. The first two days for the film were already at record levels for Hindi films in revenue, but that was largely due to enhanced ticket pricing pushing them over. Yesterday, the film finally got the holiday support, and it posted numbers never seen before. Saturday saw the film set a single-day record for Bollywood across most circuits, except West Bengal, Assam, AP-Nizam, and Tamil Nadu-Kerala. The last two were missed because of dubbed versions taking some shows away from Hindi, so it’s mainly the two in East India. Some of the circuits were behind Pushpa 2 (Hindi), but by a very …

Dhurandar Box Office Early Trend: Ranveer Singh film set to hunt Pushpa 2, 800 crore nett in play

Dhurandar Box Office Early Trend: Ranveer Singh film set to hunt Pushpa 2, 800 crore nett in play

I am running short of adjectives to start the box office reporting of Dhurandhar because every day it is pulling off some insane numbers, which doesn’t feel real. No, that’s not because they aren’t “not real” but because they are. Times we are in, that needed to be clarified.  On its Third Friday, Dhurandhar is looking to collect Rs. 20 crore nett. By the end of the day, that number may rise, and it might be that there is no drop at all from Thursday. That’s with the film facing competition from a major new release, Avatar: Fire and Ash, but that hardly seems to have made a dent. Unsurprisingly, this also means another daily box office record for the film, and once again by a ridiculous margin. The next best 3rd Friday is Rs. 12 crore nett by Chhaava. This Friday number has made Rs. 700 crore a lock as the film is crossing or very near to cross Rs. 600 crore nett by the end of this week. In fact, beating the all-time …

Tere Ishk Mein Box Office: Dhanush & Kriti Sanon film emerges HIT with a 8 crore nett Monday

Tere Ishk Mein Box Office: Dhanush & Kriti Sanon film emerges HIT with a 8 crore nett Monday

Tere Ishk Mein is looking to collect Rs. 7.50-8 crore nett approx on its first Monday. The film passed its crucial Monday test with flying colours, registering a drop of less than 50 per cent from opening day. It was essential for the film to stay over Rs. 6 crore nett in order to sustain its HIT trajectory. The film did it with ease and has now emerged as a HIT.  The four-day total box office collection stands at Rs. 56.50 crore nett approx. It should have another strong day tomorrow with discount day. The first week is expected to collect over Rs. 75 crore; with better holds, it could move towards Rs. 80 crore. That would make reaching Rs. 100 crore a cakewalk. There is going to be competition from Dhurandhar in the second week, but with Monday at this level, it has a strong enough base to collect. Tere Ishk Mein is the sixth HIT film of the year, or seventh counting Sanam Teri Kasam (re-release). Out of these seven, four have been …
