A fire broke out on the second floor of the Ministry of Education office located within the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) campus in Delhi`s ITO area on Monday morning, officials said, reported the PTI. No injuries or casualties have been reported so far. According to officials, the Delhi Fire Service received an emergency call about the incident at around 9:37 am. In response, eight fire engines were immediately dispatched to the site to tackle the blaze, as per the PTI. Firefighters began operations to bring the fire under control and prevent it from spreading to other parts of the building. Cause of blaze to be investigated The officials said the exact cause of the fire has not yet been established and it will be investigated once the situation was fully under control. According to the India Meteorological Department, a light drizzle is likely during the day and the maximum temperature is expected to settle around 19 degrees Celsius. The Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 398 in the ‘very poor’ category. It was 406 on Monday, the Central Pollution Control Board said. An AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good,’ 51-100 ‘satisfactory,’ 101-200 ‘moderate,’ 201-300 ‘poor,’ 301-400 ‘very poor,’ and 401-500 ‘severe.’ The humidity levels stood at 100 per cent at 8.30 am, the IMD said. The Delhi High Court on Wednesday cautioned lawyers against protesting in court premises in the city pertaining to the arrest of AAP leader and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal while observing that the consequences for such action will be severe. The Delhi High Court was hearing a letter petition filed by an advocate Vaibhav Singh against the AAP legal cell’s call for protest in court premises across the city. Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21 in connection with the Delhi excise policy case. Singh mentioned the letter petition before Acting Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora and said he has come to know through media channels and social media platforms of advocates of the Aam Aadmi Party’s legal cell that they have called for the “massive protest across all District Courts of Delhi” at noon on Wednesday.
