Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Tuesday (April 14, 2026), held his last Cabinet meeting, ahead of his expected resignation.  Following the Cabinet meeting, which lasted 25 minutes, Mr Kumar headed towards his official residence 1, Anne Marg. Later, he is likely to go to Raj Bhawan, a few yards away, at 3.15 p.m. to tender his resignation from the post. It was an emotional moment for all but Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was as usual in the Cabinet meeting, BJP leader and Cabinet minister Ram Kripal Yadav told media persons after the cabinet meeting. The meeting which lasted for about two hours, mostly revolved around the formation of the next government in the State, said party sources. Mr. Kumar has started shifting his belongings, mostly furniture, from his official CM residence to 7, Circular Road residence where he is expected to shift after resigning from his post.
