The board of the Sir Ratan Tata Trusts (SRTT) on Saturday did not induct Neville Tata, son of Tata Trusts Chairman Noel Tata, as a trustee as anticipated, with the meeting being postponed amid uncertainty over the timing of the appointment of the Tata scion. “The meeting was postponed as all trustees were unable to attend. It will be rescheduled shortly,” a Tata Group official said. The SRTT board was scheduled to meet on Saturday to induct Neville Tata as a trustee in line with an earlier plan. “Neville is likely to join the Sir Ratan Tata Trusts as a trustee later this week, subject to the unanimous approval of all trustees,” a senior Tata official had told The Indian Express earlier this week.
