NTA Re-NEET Exam news LIVE Updates: The National Testing Agency is all set to conduct National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) again on 21 June, Sunday, after 3 May was cancelled due to allegations of a paper leak and other examination irregularities. As medical aspirants prepare for the crucial national level exam, the Delhi High Court on Friday dismissed the petition filed by messaging platform Telegram on temporary ban. The government decided to block the messaging platform for a week and implemented the ban on 16 June which will be lifted after 22 June, a day after NEET retest to avoid any irregularities and prevent paper-leak. The temporary blocking order against Telegram was passed following recommendations by the National Testing Agency and the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education. The high court bench presided by Justice Tejas Karia pronounced the order as it observed that Section 69A of the Information Technology Act empowered Centre to restrict the access to the platform, given the emergency nature of the issue. Following a week’s ban on Telegram, National Testing Agency Director General Abhishek Singh claimed that multiple layers of security have been added to avoid any malpractice in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (Undergraduate) (NEET [UG]) scheduled for 21 June. This statement came a day after the government imposed a temporary ban on Telegram on 16 June. This ban will remain in effect until 22 June. Suggesting that security has been tightened to avoid any irregularities in the conduct of the crucial medical entrance exam this time, Abhishek Singh said, “NTA is committed 100% to ensure that no malpractice will happen. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the admit cards for NEET UG re-test today or in the coming days for the exam scheduled on 21 June. It’s been almost a week since advance city intimation slips were released. NTA will be conducting the crucial national level medical exam at exam centres located across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. Once the admit card is released, students will be able to download the hall ticket of National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test [(NEET (UG)] from NTA’s official website at neet.nta.nic.in. The screening test will be conducted in pen and paper mode in the coming week, on Sunday, between 2:00 PM and 5:15 PM. This includes extra 15-minutes to allow students to finish OMR-related and documentation formalities inside the examination hall. NEET UG 2025: After flagging around 1,500 suspicious NEET-UG paper leak claims, the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday, advised exam takers to remain cautious against rumours and misleading information regarding the medical entrance exam. Citing the Prevention of Unfair Means Act, the NTA warned that “anyone found guilty of adopting or facilitating unfair means,” will face “stringent penalties.” NTA’s advisory comes a day before the NEET UG 2025 exam, which will be held on Sunday, May 4, from 2PM to 5PM.
