Jerax review: Nagabhushana, Payal Chengappa lead a simple fantasy comedy series that fumbles along the way | Web-series News

Jerax Review: Power, especially when unchecked, is very dangerous. It can corrupt even the seemingly noblest of minds, coercing them into committing selfish deeds that can have significant effects on the lives of others, even if that may not be their conscious intention. Take the case of Jerax’s Prakasha (Nagabhushana). As a child, his parents took him to a temple to find a remedy for his constant illness, and he received an amulet there. This occasion coincided with a great conjunction, and miraculously, the amulet attained superpowers. However, it was of no use to him for a long time, partly because Prakasha didn’t realise its potential. 20 years later, he works at a stationery shop owned by his uncle (a brilliant Om Prakash Rao), who shows him no sympathy or compassion. Prakasha’s life changes during another great conjunction when his amulet comes into contact with the old photostat machine at the shop, allowing him to create xerox copies of people from their photographs.
