Gadchiroli Police in Maharashtra organised a free health camp at the newly established police outpost in Bangadi village, aiming to provide medical services to residents in remote and tribal areas. The initiative covered people from Bangadi and Gundnur villages, where a total of around 80 citizens underwent medical examination by a team of specialist doctors, officials said. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), which is the top court to adjudicate sports disputes internationally, has asked the All India Football Federation to hold off on declaring Churchill Brothers as the I-League champions. The CAS stayed the AIFF’s decision while hearing an appeal from Inter Kashi. New Delhi: The Union environment ministry and two institutes at Harvard University will organise a four-day conference starting March 19 titled: ‘India 2047: Building a Climate-Resilient Future.’ Insights from the conference will contribute to shaping India’s upcoming National Adaptation Plan, the ministry said in a statement on Monday. The Economic Survey 2025 tabled in Parliament had said that India would prioritise climate adaptation efforts to safeguard its rapid economic expansion. The Development Committee of the All India Football Federation (AIFF), on Wednesday, said that each member state of the federation should organise a minimum of four tournaments in a year to ensure optimum utilisation of the funds. “The committee recommended that each state will have to organise a minimum of four events in the year for the utilisation of funds provided by the AIFF. These four events should include at least one tournament each for junior boys and girls,” a release issued by the federation stated. The decision was taken at the first meeting of the Development Committee, chaired by Avijit Paul, in the financial year 2024-25. The meeting was attended by AIFF’s acting secretary general M Satyanarayan and committee members Cliff Nongrum, Takum Kipa and Sonam T.
