Xiaomi’s latest AI coding tool claims to outperform Claude Code on complex tasks | Technology News

Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi has released Mimo Code v0.1.0, its latest open-source terminal-native AI coding assistant aimed at developers. The model has reportedly surpassed Anthropic’s Claude Code on some key benchmarks in agentic coding, particularly on long horizon tasks and multi-steps tasks. Long horizon tasks are simply goals assigned to an AI agent that may require numerous sequential steps, decisions, and hundreds of actions to accomplish a task. The claims are reportedly based on its internal beta release and a survey of 576 developers. According to the company, the model reads and writes code, executes commands, manages Git operations, and maintains persistent project memory across sessions inside the terminal. Xiaomi’s latest release comes along with MiMo V2.5, a multimodal model that is free for a limited time and features a one-million-token context window. Xiaomi describes MiMo Code V0.1.0 as a tool that is more than an AI coding assistant in your terminal. “It’s the smartest coding partner you’ll ever work with,” the company said on its X handle. As per the results declared by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), girls performed better than boys in the exams. Girls secured an overall pass percentage of 94.96 as against boys’ 89.56%, board chairman Trigun Kulkarni said. The Kokan division topped the list with 97.62%, while the Chatrapati Sambhajinagar division was at the bottom with 88.41%, he said. The Kolhapur division recorded 95.47% overall pass percentage, Pune 94.24%, Mumbai 94.97%, Amravati 90.50%, Latur 88.42%, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar 88.41% and Nashik 90.53%. ICSE, ISC Result 2026: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) declared both ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) results 2026 on Thursday, 30 April at 11 AM. Over 3.6 lakh students across India and abroad appeared for these exams. In the ISC examination, over 1 lakh students from 1,553 schools participated, comprising 54,118 boys (52.38%) and 49,198 girls (47.62%). In the ICSE examination, over 2.5 lakh students from 2,957 schools participated, including 137,503 boys (53.15%) and 121,218 girls (46.85%) this year. In both Class 10 and 12 results, pass rate stood above 99%.
