The Punjab Legislative Assembly on Monday paid tributes to the victims of the Pahalgam terrorist attack which took place in South Kashmir on April 22. The special session of the Vidhan Sabha was called to pass a resolution against Haryana’s demand for additional water from the Bhakra Dam reservoir. Referring to the killing of 26 victims in the attack, many of whom were tourists, Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan said the House hopes that the state and central governments will do all that is within their powers to ensure that the “perpetrators of the terrorist attack are brought to justice”. He added that the Assembly also hopes that “no such incidents will take place in the future”.
