Operation Sindoor LIVE: PM Modi Holds High-Level Security Meet With Service Chiefs Ahead Of DGMO-Level Talks

As Operation Sindoor continues, the Indian armed forces said that they remain combat-ready, and any misadventure by Pakistan will be appropriately responded to. The Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of both India and Pakistan will hold talks today at 12 noon to discuss the “understanding” that they reached on May 10 evening to halt the military operations along the International Border and Line of Control. The Indian DGMO, along with the DGs of Air Forces and Navy, addressed a press conference last evening and detailed the Operation Sindoor and India’s retaliation against Pakistan’s aggression after the May 7 operation. India Pakistan LIVE Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday met chiefs of Army, Navy and Air defence services to review the situation. He also met a group of armed forces veterans today and had an extensive interaction with veterans on various issues on the current situation. Earlier in the day, PM Modi dialed the Rajasthan and Punjab chief ministers and took stock of the border situation in both states. In the wake of the ongoing situation, the Gujarat government also imposed a ban on the use of firecrackers and drones in any event or function. As the tensions continue to rise, IndiGo announced the cancellation of flight operations to and from some cities across the country including Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Bikaner, Dharamshala, Rajkot, Jodhpur, and Kishangarh. Pakistan launched a barrage of artillery fire, drone, and missile attacks on multiple locations in Jammu, including a key airstrip, just a day after India conducted strikes against terror hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). India Foils Pakistani Attack On Military Bases, Blackouts In Border Areas

Jammu: Pakistan, hours after its foiled attempt to target 15 Indian cities, launched attack on parts of Jammu and Kashmir and its military stations, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Punjab, in an enormous escalation of hostilities. While the border areas in Jammu and Kashmir along the Line of Control and International border are under heavy shelling, winter capital Jammu is facing relentless air strikes. Pakistani drones have been intercepted in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer. A Pakistani drone has been intercepted near Sir Creek in Gujarat. Shortly before 9 pm, loud explosions were heard from Jammu and were followed by clamour of sirens and a blackout. Cellphone videos sent by locals showed lights streaking across the sky, indicating interception of the missiles and drones by the Air Defence System of the Indian armed forces.  With the activation of the Air Defence System, the sky is lighting up every other minute.
