Rafale That Pakistan Claimed To Have Shot Down During Op Sindoor Flies High At Republic Day Parade | India News

Last Updated:January 26, 2026, 17:57 IST Six Rafale aircraft formed the Vajraang formation, a high-precision display highlighting the Air Force’s strategic and operational capabilities. Two Rafale jets, two MiG-29s, two Su-30s, and one Jaguar aircraft were part of a ‘spearhead’ formation, which symbolised the ‘Sindoor formation’. (X) The Indian Air Force (IAF) led the grand finale of the 77th Republic Day parade on Kartavya Path on Monday with a spectacular aerial fly-past, displaying India’s aerial might. Notably, the Rafale fighter jet with tail number BS-022 was also seen in the Republic Day video released by the IAF. The Pakistan Air Force had falsely claimed the same aircraft to have been shot down during the four-day military stand-off following Operation Sindoor. Pakistan-based propaganda accounts had also alleged that Pakistan destroyed Indian Rafale fighter jets and S-400 air defence systems during Operation Sindoor. India, however, clarified that none of its Rafale jets suffered any harm or damage during the operation. As part of the fly-past, multiple aircraft, including Rafale, Su-30 MKI, MiG-29, Jaguar, Apache helicopters and the …

After Pahalgam, Visible And Targeted Response To Terror Marks A New Normal

New Delhi: India’s response to the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam that killed 26 tourists has drawn a red line that Pakistan can no longer ignore – that terrorism as a state policy will trigger targeted and visible consequences. The cruise missile strikes as part of Operation Sindoor at terror infrastructure and Pakistani military assets including air base have asserted a doctrinal shift toward calibrated deterrence. The operation is not over and it signals a “new normal” in India’s approach to counter-terrorism, emphasising that Pakistan must accept the new reality and cannot expect business as usual, news agency ANI reported. “Operation Sindoor is not over, we are in the new normal, the world has to accept this. Pakistan has to accept this; it cannot be business as usual,” sources told ANI. The strike on May 7 destroyed nine high-value terror launchpads across Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). The targets belonged to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and Hizbul Mujahideen. The locations were identified as key training and operational centres for planning attacks …

Pakistan is looking to replace its ageing fleet of US-made F-16s and the French Mirage fighters. As per a report in the Hong Kong-based South China Morning Post, which further quotes the Pakistani media, China will deliver all 40 stealth fighter jest in less than two years. China’s entire defence industry is already set up for mass production as it does not depend on any other country for any part of the aircraft. …
