Eleven India-bound vessels have successfully transited through the Strait of Hormuz after the United States (US) and Iran finalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at ending the recent conflict in West Asia, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Tuesday. India’s aviation regulator, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), on Saturday issued an urgent advisory, asking all Indian carriers to avoid flying through the West Asian and Persian Gulf airspace following escalating military tensions in the region.
