Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Dr Hedgewar Smruti Mandir in Nagpur and paid tributes at memorials dedicated to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, and second sarsanghchalak (chief) M S Golwalkar. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat was present during Mr. Modi’s visit to the Smruti Mandir in Reshimbagh, the administrative headquarters of the RSS. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that the classical language status would boost research and educational prospects worldwide for Marathi speakers. While speaking in a launch event in Maharashtra’s Thane, PM Modi emphasised the profound cultural, historical, and literary roots of Marathi, identifying it as a ‘golden moment’ for the language. He further appealed to Marathi speakers to ensure that the language reaches a global audience. “Marathi is a historical language whose knowledge sources have guided several generations. The Marathi language showcased literature, religion, social reforms, the freedom movement etc., over the years. The culture, history, literature, and folk art are linked to the language,” the prime minister said. PM Modi In Maharashtra To Flag Off Vande Bharat Train, Metro Line, AIIMS

The PM will dedicate ‘Nagpur Metro Phase I’ to the nation. Nagpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday landed in Nagpur to inaugurate various developmental projects in Maharashtra. “PM @narendramodi landed in Nagpur a short while ago. He will inaugurate key development works in the city,” the Prime Minister’s Office tweeted. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were among those who received PM Modi. The PM will dedicate ‘Nagpur Metro Phase I’ to the nation. He will flag off two metro trains – from Khapri to Automotive Square (Orange Line) and from Prajapati Nagar to Lokmanya Nagar (Aqua line) – at Khapri Metro Station. Phase I of the Nagpur Metro is developed at a cost of more than Rs 8650 crore. Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of Nagpur Metro Phase- II, which will be developed at a cost of more than Rs 6700 crore.
