Saurav and Gaurav Luthra, own the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in North Goa where a fire claimed 25 lives. A court in Goa on Friday extended the police custody of nightclub owners Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra till December 29 in connection with the deadly fire at a popular nightclub in North Goa that claimed 25 lives earlier this month. The brothers own the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in Arpora village, where the fire broke out on December 6. Following the incident, the siblings allegedly left the country within hours and travelled to Thailand. They were later deported to India on December 17. The extension was granted by a Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) court in Mapusa after the brothers’ initial 10-day police remand ended on Friday. Porsche crash: Office staff of minor co-passenger’s father transferred money to co-accused held for blood swapping | Pune News

A probe by the Pune city police has revealed that an “office boy” of the minor co-passenger’s father arrested in the Porsche crash case had transferred money to the co-accused who allegedly provided his blood sample for swapping at the Sassoon hospital. Police produced the 47-year-old father of the minor co-passenger before a court in Pune as his custody ended on Thursday and sought his custody for seven more days. Assistant commissioner of police Ganesh Ingale, the investigation officer, told the court during investigation, they have seized the cell phones of the accused and his two employees. Ingale said an employee of the accused had through his mobile phone transferred money into the bank account of the co-accused whose blood was allegedly replaced with that of the accused’s son at the Sassoon hospital. Ingale said police also want to probe the WhatsApp conversations between the employee and the co-accused regarding the financial transaction. Police sources said details of bank transactions worth Rs 2 lakhs between the employee and the co-accused are under scanner. Two IT …
