The West Bengal government has ruled out the possibility of providing security cover for the Indian Super League’s (ISL) Kolkata derby between East Bengal and Mohun Bagan, scheduled for January 11. The state’s sports minister, Arup Biswas, confirmed the decision. Due to the government’s inability to ensure security for the high-stakes match, it is highly likely that the game will be postponed.
