20 lakh cash, valuables reported stolen from Tej Pratap Yadav's residence

A case involving the alleged theft of cash, jewellery, and electronic devices from the official residence of former Bihar minister and JJD chief Tej Pratap Yadav has come to light in Patna, drawing attention in both political and administrative circles.  According to the complaint, the alleged theft took place at Tej Pratap Yadav’s official residence located on Harding Road in the state capital. Tej Pratap Yadav has lodged a complaint with the Secretariat police station and has made allegations against his former associate Motilal Rai in connection with the incident. Police have initiated an investigation following the complaint. According to the complaint, approximately Rs 20 lakh in cash, which was allegedly kept in a cupboard for party-related purposes, was found missing on June 22. A subsequent examination of the residence revealed the disappearance of several valuable items, including cash amounting to Rs 20 lakh, a gold chain weighing around two tolas, a gold ring, four pen drives, two hard disks, an iPad, a MacBook laptop, a Lenovo laptop, and four iPhone Pro Max mobile phones. …

Interacting with the media after attending the ‘At Home’ function organised by the Army on the occasion of Indian Army Day in Shimla, the Governor questioned the legal basis of the decision. “I do not understand whether this is the right decision. Courts are the competent authorities to decide who is eligible to contest Gram Panchayat elections. Such decisions by the state government invite intervention by the courts,” he said. “During my efforts to curb the drug menace in the state, I invited representatives of Gram Panchayats to the Lok Bhavan (Governor House). Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will commission the vessel at Goa Shipyard Limited, officials said on Sunday. What we know about the vessel? Samudra Pratap is the first pollution control vessel (PCV) of its kind to be designed and built in India for the Indian Coast Guard. The ship has more than 60 per cent indigenous content, marking a major step in domestic shipbuilding. The vessel is 114.5 metres long and weighs around 4,200 tonnes, making it the largest ship in the Indian Coast Guard fleet. It can sail at a speed of over 22 knots and has an endurance of about 6,000 nautical miles. The ship will play a key role in enforcing marine pollution control laws. It is designed to respond to …
