On Sunday, the Delhi health authorities issued an advisory to ensure preparedness for potential health challenges related to HMPV and other respiratory viruses. According to an official statement, Dr Vandana Bagga, Director General of Health Services (DGHS), convened a meeting with chief district medical officers and the state programme officer of IDSP on Sunday to discuss preparedness to address respiratory illnesses in Delhi. Here are the precautionary guidelines for HMPV: Hospitals have been instructed to promptly report Influenza-like Illness (ILI) and Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) cases through the IHIP Portal. Strict isolation protocols and the use of universal precautions for suspected cases have been made mandatory. Three Army personnel — two pilots and a technician — were on board at the time of the incident on May 4 morning, they said, adding that there was no casualty. The helicopter, belonging to the Army Aviation Corps, was going from Nashik in Maharashtra to Bengaluru, a police official said on May 4. It made the precautionary landing at around 9.50 am on May 4 at a farm near Erandoli village in Miraj tehsil of Sangli district due to some technical issue, he said. AN ADVANCED Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv of the Indian Army conducted a precautionary landing in a field in Sangli district of Maharashtra on Saturday due to a technical issue in the morning, officials said. No casualties were reported in the incident.  “The incident took place around 9:50 am in Erandoli village under the jurisdiction of Miraj Rural police station in Sangli district. An ALH Dhruv chopper of the Army Aviation Corps conducted a precautionary landing due to a technical issue.” said Sub Divisional Police Officer for Miraj Division, Pranil Gilda.  Gilda added, “Two pilots and a technician were flying in it from Nashik to Bangalore. Around two hours later, another chopper arrived for technical assistance. After rectification of the technical issue, both the choppers took off from there. No casualties were reported in the incident.”  Sources said that the helicopter experienced some unusual vibrations in the air and the pilots decided to conduct a precautionary landing.
