CONTINUING THEIR effort to send a strong signal to notorious criminals in the city, the crime branch of Pune City police on Wednesday summoned and lined up close to 300 criminals booked for possession of arms and drugs racketeering at the Pune Police Commissionerate. On Tuesday, acting on specific directives from Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, the Pune City police had sent a strong signal to the organised crime world by rounding up 267 members of 11 major and 21 gangs operating in and around the city. Stringent warnings were issued against engaging in illegal activities, accompanied by stern instructions to refrain from glorifying criminal acts through social media statuses and reels.
