Alleged U Penn hacker claims they’re in it for money, not ‘primarily “anti-DEI”’

A person claiming to be one of the University of Pennsylvania hackers says that about “1.2 million lines of data” will be kept private for the group to sell before it is made public. The group also plans to make other documents public. In comments to The Verge, the hacker or hackers distanced themselves from earlier hacks of other private universities including Columbia — which were aimed at demonstrating colleges had maintained unlawful pro-diversity policies. “Our main goal was to get the wealthy donor database,” they said via Signal. An email that said, “We hire and admit morons, because we love legacies, donors, and unqualified affirmative action admits,” was “just a fun rant,” they claimed. Leaked data includes internal documents that appear to be internal university talking points about the congressional testimony of former university president Liz Magill. Ron Ozio, head of media relations at Penn, didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. In a statement released today, the university said it is still investigating the breach and has reported it to the FBI. …

Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video Review: Sporadically Watchable Primarily Because Of Nimrat Kaur

Nimrat Kaur in a still from the film. (Courtesy: YouTube) A girl from a conservative Pune family, on her birthday, lets her guard down at a Singapore nightclub. All hell breaks loose. A video of her doing a drunken “sandwich dance” between two scantily clad men goes viral and the arithmetic of the Physics teacher’s life goes haywire. Back in Pune, under pressure from priggish parents, the prim and proper school principal Kalyani Pandit (Bhagyashree) sacks the teacher, Sajini Shinde (Radhika Madan), and two others who were part of the unauthorised girls’ trip. Director Mikhil Musale, whose first Hindi film Made in China did not make the grade, demonstrates some of the Wrong Side Raju (the Gujarati film that he debuted with in 2016) form in Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video. Some parts of the film are passable. Others flounder. A cross between a social drama and a police procedural, the film, scripted by Musale, Parinda Joshi, Anu Singh Choudhary and Kshitij Patwardhan, addresses social media frenzy, slut shaming and patriarchy, pitting a young woman …

Sara Ali Khan in a still from Gaslight. (courtesy: saraalikhan95 ) Mumbai: Actor Sara Ali Khan says the failure of her last few releases made her reassess her choices as an artist and she is now focused on taking up scripts that will bring her “creative satisfaction”. The actor started her innings on a positive note with Kedarnath and Simmba but her last three movies –Love Aaj Kal, Coolie No 1 and Atrangi Re – received a lukewarm response from the audiences. “I have realised that if you do a film because you think it will work, and then it doesn’t work, then it is very hurtful. It really pains you. I never want to do that again. It is important to make films for the right decision and that should be creative satisfaction primarily,” Sara told PTI in an interview. She referred to her 2020 movie Coolie No 1, which she had signed due to its credentials as a massy entertainer. “I thought this film would be a huge massy entertainer with great songs, …
