Microsoft Dragon Copilot AI Unveiled, Can Help Medical Professionals Automate Documentation

Microsoft unveiled a new artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot on Monday that can help medical professionals reduce their documentation workload. Since it is not a retail-focused tool, and instead caters to medical institutions, the company has not revealed the pricing for Dragon Copilot. Microsoft Unveils Dragon Copilot In a newsroom post, the tech giant detailed the new AI assistant for medical professionals. Doctors review: Sharad Kelkar is the beating heart of this brilliant, raw take on medical professionals’ lives | Web Series

Medical dramas on Indian television, barring the odd exception, have focused more on the doctors’ personal lives than professional. Be it Sanjivani or Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, the focus has always been on the doctors, minus their scrubs, lab coats, and stethoscopes. There was the odd Dhadkan in the early 2000s that was more House MD than General Hospital, but it took the proliferation of OTT platforms for there to be stories that dealt with what doctors go through when in the hospitals. If Mumbai Diaries started that, JioCinema’s new series Doctors takes it a few notches higher. Separate central law to deal with offences against health care professionals not needed: NTF | India News

What Is the ‘Most Pressing Concern’ for Cyber Professionals?

Generative AI was top of mind at the ISC2 Security Congress conference in Las Vegas in October 2024. How much will generative AI change what attackers — and defenders — can do? Alex Stamos, CISO at SentinelOne and professor of computer science at Stanford University, sat down with TechRepublic to discuss today’s most pressing cybersecurity concerns and how AI can both help and thwart attackers. Only a Quarter of Cybersecurity Professionals are Women

Only a Quarter of Cybersecurity Professionals are Women

As of 2023, women make up only 20% and 25% of the cybersecurity workforce, according to training body ISC2. New research from Deloitte explores the reasons behind this gender gap, despite the high demand for skilled professionals in the industry. Half of young working women interested in cybersecurity feel they lack sufficient knowledge of the field to pursue a career in it. Furthermore, 55% of all women surveyed believe the industry could prove intimidating, and 47% are concerned they wouldn’t be taken seriously. The results, published in “POV Reimagined: Women in Cybersecurity” in October, are based on a survey of 8,000 non-cyber professionals from around the world conducted by Deloitte Global and media company The Female Quotient. They also conducted interviews with global female security leaders and group discussions with adults in and out of the industry. Emily Mossburg, Deloitte Global cyber leader, said: “The cybersecurity industry is experiencing explosive growth, yet it’s facing a critical shortage of talent. It’s time to challenge the stereotypes and show women that cybersecurity not only offers the job …
