Hosts Shillong Lajong FC routed Rajasthan United FC 8-0 in Round 4 of the I-League 2024-25 at the SSA Stadium in Shillong on Sunday. Chennaiyin FC defeated Jamshedpur FC by 5-1 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 on Monday. It was a thoroughly professional performance from Chennaiyin FC as they dominated the match from start to finish with Irfan Yadwad, Connor Shields, Wilmar Jordan Gil, and Lukas Brambilla all registering their names on the scoresheet. The India U17 men’s team started their AFC U17 Asian Cup Qualifiers Group D campaign in style with a 13-0 beatdown of Brunei Darussalam at the Chonburi Stadium on Wednesday. India’s assault started right from the first whistle as the Blue Colts dominated the ball and constantly pressured an inexperienced Brunei in the right areas. They took the lead in the eighth minute, Vishal Yadav entering the box from the right and slotting it in to give India a deserved lead. The goal had been coming, and in truth, India could have been out of sight in the first 10. It didn’t matter, though, because soon enough, the chances and goals flew unabated.
