11.14 lakh homes in Maharashtra complete online Census 2027 self-enumeration
More than 11.14 lakh households in Maharashtra have successfully completed self-enumeration for the upcoming Census 2027 through the online facility provided by the government between May 1 and 15, officials told news agency PTI on Monday. The self-enumeration facility was introduced as part of the House-Listing and Housing Census Operations for Census 2027. It enables citizens to fill in their details conveniently through a dedicated web portal at a time suitable to them. During the notified period, as many as 12,60,950 households initiated the self-enumeration process, out of which 11,14,277 completed it successfully, according to a release issued by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Mumbai. District-wise, Pune led with the highest number of households completing self-enumeration at 1,53,568, followed by Mumbai Suburban with 1,21,068, Thane with 1,16,512, Mumbai City with 61,295, and Nashik with 52,667. Other districts showing good participation included Nagpur (37,534), Amravati (36,223), Solapur (34,313), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (34,242), and Jalgaon (31,802).
