A probe by the Pune city police has revealed that an “office boy” of the minor co-passenger’s father arrested in the Porsche crash case had transferred money to the co-accused who allegedly provided his blood sample for swapping at the Sassoon hospital. Police produced the 47-year-old father of the minor co-passenger before a court in Pune as his custody ended on Thursday and sought his custody for seven more days. Assistant commissioner of police Ganesh Ingale, the investigation officer, told the court during investigation, they have seized the cell phones of the accused and his two employees. Ingale said an employee of the accused had through his mobile phone transferred money into the bank account of the co-accused whose blood was allegedly replaced with that of the accused’s son at the Sassoon hospital. Ingale said police also want to probe the WhatsApp conversations between the employee and the co-accused regarding the financial transaction. Same day, a first information report (FIR) was lodged against the minor car driver, at the Yerwada police station. The police had sought his custody in the juvenile observation home and had also appealed that he be tried as an adult.
