Question: You reported that Toxic APTS distribution rights were acquired by PVRINOX, but it was soon after officially announced to be acquired by SVC. Why is that?(Abhishek) Answer: At the time the exclusive report was published, the Telugu states distribution rights of Toxic were indeed with PVRINOX Pictures. The deal was in place and confirmed through trade channels. However, shortly thereafter, SVC came in with a more aggressive offer, leading to a change in distribution. In the film trade, such developments are not uncommon; deals can evolve if a better financial proposal comes in. There are two conflicting reports on the amount of the SVC deal, the one being Rs. 45 crore non-refundable advance, seeming more plausible. Question: Animation films do big business worldwide, as seen with Ne Zha 2 and Zootopia 2 being the two biggest films of last year.
