Bihar polls: Tejashwi Yadav retains Raghopur seat, defeats BJP`s Satish Kumar
The Raghopur constituency in Bihar offered a moment of relief for the Mahagathbandhan after its chief ministerial candidate and of Rashtriya Janata Dal`s (RJD) Tejashwi Yadav, secured a clear victory. He won 1,18,597 votes, defeating the BJP Satish Kumar, who received 1,04,065 votes, reported the ANI. Tejashwi, the sitting MLA and Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar elections 2025, has maintained a strong hold over Raghopur, having won the seat in 2015 and 2020, both times defeating Satish Kumar Yadav. The Jan Suraaj Party finished far behind, with only 2,399 votes. A long-standing stronghold of the Yadav family, Raghopur once again delivered a solid victory for the RJD despite intense competition from the BJP and other contenders.
