Dark clouds have been covering the sky in the Delhi-NCR since Monday evening followed by a drizzle in the early hours of Tuesday. The rain predictions come amid the intensification of the low-pressure area into a depression in the Bay of Bengal.  On late Tuesday night, the depression over the southwest Bay of Bengal moved northwestwards. The weather conditions are likely to persist for the next few days. Extremely Heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu The IMD has predicted extremely heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu today. According to IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places in Ranipet, Tiruvallur, Chennai, Chengalpattu, and Kancheepuram, among others.
