The accused, SDM Karun Dahariya, a State Administrative Service Officer, and his three associates were arrested for the murder of Karan Ram alias Ramnaresh and injuring two men on February 15 this year in a jungle area next to Hanspur village on the Chhattisgarh-Jharkhand border. The victims were allegedly assaulted after they stopped a truck carrying illegal bauxite, leading to the killing. Balrampur SP Vaibhav Banker said Dahariya had seized the truck from Jharkhand and brought it to Chhattisgarh without permission. The truck owner allegedly suspected robbery and contacted the three victims, who tried to stop the truck in Hanspur, prompting Dahariya to reach the spot. Krunal Pandya on why he decided to bat on despite cramps in RCB’s run chase against MI: ‘Always cherish tough situations’

With both legs cramping, every run becoming a struggle, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) looking to end a two-game losing run, Krunal Pandya refused to walk off. The all-rounder scored 73 off 46 balls, rescuing RCB from 39/3 and taking them to the doorstep of victory against Mumbai Indians before falling late in the 167-run chase in Raipur on Sunday. But after the match, Krunal revealed the physical toll the innings had taken as RCB edged closer to the IPL 2026 playoffs with a tense two-wicket win. “Obviously, later on, cramps were very, very painful. I mean, it started from calf, hamstring, glutes and both legs. I was cramping,” Krunal said after the game. “But again, I was very clear that I’m not going to go out. I’ll fight through that pain, and I’ll make sure that whatever I can contribute for the team, I’ll do it.” ALSO READ | RCB on top after Bhuvneshwar’s masterclass and Krunal’s rearguard Krunal said the importance of the fixture at the business end of the season pushed him …

Virat Kohli and the last time RCB played an IPL game in Raipur: ‘You need to be boring’ | Cricket News

When Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) take the field against Mumbai Indians in Raipur on Sunday, it will mark the franchise’s first IPL game at the venue in nearly a decade. The last time RCB played here, Virat Kohli was in the middle of a season that would eventually become one of the greatest batting campaigns in the tournament’s history. Back in May 2016, Raipur hosted a virtual knockout between RCB and the then Delhi Daredevils, who were the home side. The equation was straightforward: win and stay alive in the race for the playoffs, lose and risk watching the season slip away. RCB held their nerve that night, chasing down 139 with six wickets in hand. Kohli top-scored with 54, but it was not one of the breathtaking innings that would come to define his 973-run season. There were no fireworks or outrageous strokeplay. On a sluggish surface where timing the ball was difficult, every run had to be worked for. Zaheer Khan, leading Delhi, kept things tight with the ball and even produced a …

‘…Those conditions might not suit them’

2 min readMay 9, 2026 02:10 PM IST Kolkata Knight Riders are surging mid-season after starting the campaign poorly. They have won four in a row and have an advantage of an extra point because rain affected the match against the Punjab Kings earlier in the tournament. If they win all their remaining games, they will reach 17 points, giving them a clear advantage. Ajinkya Rahane’s side will next face Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who are in shaky territory after losing two in a row. Intriguingly, the game is in Raipur. “Their match against RCB is in Raipur. Raipur is an away ground even for RCB. I think RCB are the most balanced side in the tournament, but they have lost two consecutive games. So their form has wavered a little. I think, among the remaining games, that will be the most difficult to win, because those conditions might not suit them,” Aakash Chopra observed on his YouTube channel. M. Chinnaswamy has hosted RCB since the IPL’s inception in 2008, but this season, five games are …
