CBSE’s OSM chaos: Questions raised over rollout, re-evaluation of timelines | Education News

It was not every day that 17-year-old Sachi, a student from Delhi, woke up before 5 am, trying repeatedly to open a website, while the rest of the city slept. But earlier this month, she was attempting to open the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) re-evaluation portal — the website had been crashing for days as students across the country tried to obtain scanned copies of their answer books after the declaration of the Class 12 board examination results on May 13. For days, as she tried, the site would open briefly or freeze. Sachi thought the best bet to access it would be to wake up before dawn when, as she hoped, fewer students would be online. “It finally worked,” she recalled, accessing her scanning answer books. For thousands of students like Sachi, CBSE’s On-Screen Marking (OSM), a digital evaluation system introduced for Class 12 board examination for the first time this year, has raised major concerns about possible errors in their result. Many have even questioned if the scanned answer books they …

Neelima Azeem came to Bombay with just Rs 4,500, raised Shahid Kapoor alone at 24 | Bollywood News

Today, Neelima Azeem is widely recognised as the mother of actors Shahid Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter. But long before her sons became Bollywood stars, Neelima herself was a rising name in the entertainment industry — so much so that some of the biggest filmmakers of the time were eager to cast her in their projects. Producers reportedly waited outside her house to sign her, with names like Saawan Kumar Tak and Yash Chopra among those who wanted her on board. Yet, despite the fame and opportunities knocking at her door, Neelima’s life took a very different turn. She married young, became a mother early, and faced divorce at just 24. Left to raise a three-year-old Shahid Kapoor on her own, Neelima chose resilience over compromise — a decision that shaped not only her own journey, but also her son’s. In an interview with Zoom TV, Neelima Azeem reflected on those difficult years and admitted that motherhood came with its share of struggles. “I learned to be a parent. In my case, I didn’t have any …

These concerns are internal opinions coming from within the BJP, and the party leadership should answer them, Mr Kharge expressed. The Minister added that the BJP is focusing more on publicity campaigns because of …

Commercial LPG Allocation India Raised to 70%, Govt Prioritises Key Industries

The Parliament passed the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Amendment Bill, 2026, on Wednesday, following its passage in the Rajya Sabha through a voice vote. The Bill was tabled on March 13 by Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Virender Kumar. Despite unanimous demands from the Opposition to refer the Bill to a select committee, the government put it up for debate, eventually securing its passage in both Houses. The new Bill proposes changes across four key themes: the definition of transgender persons, the process for issuing identity certificates, offences and penalties, and the composition of the National Council. Crucially, the Bill’s Statement of Objects and Reasons is very clear in outlining the government’s stated rationale. It argues that the existing definition of the expression “transgender person” is vague, allegedly making it impossible to identify “genuine oppressed persons” for whom targeted benefits are intended. It also goes on to say that the 2019 Act’s purpose was not to protect each and every class of persons with various gender identities, including “self-perceived sex/gender identities or …
