Chauhan was at the game zone with eight members of his family on May 25 when a spark from a welding work going on inside the facility triggered a fire. The game zone on Rajkot’s Nana Mava Road, operating illegally since 2021, was burnt to the ground—33 people, including nine children, were killed. Welding Sparks May Have Caused Huge Fire At Gujarat Gaming Zone

28 people, nine of them children, were killed in the massive blaze that broke out on Saturday. A CCTV footage of the fire at a gaming site at Gujarat’s Rajkot that is being widely circulated on social media, shows the blaze had started while welding. Twenty-eight people, nine of them children, were killed in the massive blaze that broke out on Saturday. The footage, which could not be independently verified by NDTV, shows the fire spreading from the sparks emitted during the welding. Some of the sparks fell on a pile of plastic that lay nearby and it caught fire, which proved impossible to contain despite efforts by the panic-stricken workers. As the fire spread, a temporary structure at the facility collapsed near the entrance, trapping a number of people. The facility had only one emergency exit. Most of the bodies recovered are charred and a DNA test has been ordered to identify them. A police case has been filed against six partners of the game zone, which was operating without a license. Officials said that the amusement centre was operating without a no-objection certificate (NOC) for fire clearance and also had just one exit. The gaming zone, called TRP, was packed with visitors due to a weekend discount offer with tickets priced at just Rs 99. It is suspected that the fire might have started due to a short circuit, but officials said that the exact cause will be known only after a probe. “The reason for the fire has yet to be ascertained. 9 Children Among 28 Dead In Fire At Gujarat Gaming Zone, SIT Probe Ordered

According to fire officials, the reason behind the massive blaze has not been ascertained yet. Twenty-eight people, including nine children, have died in the massive fire that broke out at a gaming zone in Gujarat’s Rajkot on Saturday. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel visited the incident site at Nana-Mava road on Sunday morning and a hospital where the injured are being treated.  Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP) Vinayak Patel said that DNA samples have been collected to identify the bodies of the victims. “The bodies are charred beyond recognition, and we have completed the process of collecting the DNA samples of the bodies and the relatives who have claimed them so that the identity of the deceased can be established,” he said, adding that the three people injured in the incident are now in a stable condition.  A Special Investigation Team (SIT) that is probing the fire has been asked to submit a report within 72 hours, even as rescue operations continue at the site today.  Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi held a meeting with the …

AT LEAST 27 people, including children, were killed as a massive fire broke out at TRP, a private amusement park/ gaming zone, in Gujarat’s Rajkot on Saturday afternoon. Officials said TRP did not have a no-objection certificate (NOC) from the fire department. In a statement, the state government said 27 bodies had been brought for post-mortem at the Rajkot Civil Hospital. Most of the bodies were charred, making identification difficult. “Their DNA samples are being drawn for identification… The process is on at the Rajkot Civil Hospital police post to collect DNA samples of family members so that the DNA can be matched,” the statement said. Rajkot District Collector Prabhav Joshi said most of the victims were children. Officials did not rule out the possibility of the toll rising.
