RJD MP slams airlines, cab aggregators for surge pricing during Pahalgam attack, other crises RJD MP Sanjay Yadav attacked airlines and private service providers for exploiting crises through surge pricing, citing the Pahalgam terrorist attack as a recent example, and demanded that the government take a firm stand against what he called a pattern of disaster profiteering. Raising the matter during Zero Hour in the Rajya Sabha, Mr. Yadav invoked the Prime Minister’s own slogan to make his point. “We all remember the slogan — Aapda Mein Avsar — but today this slogan has taken on a dangerous form,” he said. MoS Home Affairs of India Nityanand Rai, on behalf of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, proposes to introduce the bill to amend the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act in the ongoing session of Parliament session.  After a brief debate, Krishna Prasad Tenneti, who was in the chair, called for a vote on the motion, which was accepted by voice vote. One of the key changes proposed is the appointment of a “designated authority” to take over, manage or dispose of assets created out of foreign funds by an NGO or association, which has had its FCRA registration suspended, cancelled, or not renewed. With the second leg of the Parliament Budget session set to resume today, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will introduce the Corporate Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026, further to amend the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 and the Companies Act, 2013. According to the List of Business issued by the Secretary General of Lok Sabha, the Union Finance Minister will also move that the Finance Bill, 2026, which will give effect to the financial proposals of the Central Government for the financial year 2026-2027, be taken into consideration. The Lok Sabha is scheduled to commence proceedings for the ongoing second phase of the Budget Session at 11 a.m. today.
