India, Pakistan, Nigeria and Ghana together host the largest number of cities at risk of extreme heat, with major tourist destinations including Jaipur and international business hubs in the top 50, according to an analysis that has ranked 205 of the world’s largest cities. Air India ranks fourth among world’s most punctual airlines in June with 86.85 per cent on-time arrivals: Report

Air India has ranked fourth among the world’s most punctual airlines in June 2026, according to aviation analytics firm Cirium, marking a significant operational milestone for the Tata Group-owned carrier. According to Cirium’s June 2026 On-Time Performance report, Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) topped the global rankings with an on-time arrival rate of 88.32 per cent, followed by Avianca at 87.98 per cent and Hainan Airlines at 87.87 per cent. Air India secured the fourth spot with an 86.85 per cent on-time arrival rate across 15,135 tracked flights, while Spain’s Iberia completed the global top five with 86.74 per cent. India’s ranking in the Global Passport Index (GPI) has slipped to 125th spot, one rank drop from last year, in the fifth annual edition published by residency and citizenship advisory firm Global Citizen Solutions (GCS). India is flanked by Namibia at the 124th spot and Azerbaijan at the 126th spot. The report ranks 197 countries, with nine European nations being among top 10.
