Jugraj Singh’s game is built on brute power, a characteristic that has always been his signature. However, he struggled for years with accuracy and control, critical elements for any drag-flicker aspiring to do well at the international level. At the 2024-25 Hockey India League (HIL), his moment finally arrived. The Hockey India League (HIL) 2024-25 season ended spectacularly as Rarh Bengal Tigers edged out Hyderabad Toofans 4-3 in a gripping final at a packed Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium in Rourkela on Saturday. Jugraj Singh (25’, 32’, 35’) delivered for the Tigers when it mattered the most as he netted a scintillating hat-trick in the final. The title-deciding match lived up to its billing as it went down to the wire with the scoreline levelled at 3-3 till the very last quarter. Rarh Bengal Tigers clinched the Hockey India League (HIL) 2024-2025 by defeating Hyderabad Toofans 4-3 in the final in front of a jam-packed Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium in Rourkela on Saturday. Despite taking an early lead, the Toofans lost the match. Jugraj Singh (25’, 32’, 35’) and Same Lane (54’) found the back of the net to secure the title for the Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers. Gonzalo Peillat (9’, 39’) and Amandeep Lakra (26’) scored for Hyderabad Toofans. With this victory, Rarh Bengal Tigers also claimed the Rs 3 crore prize money, while the Hyderabad Toofans received Rs 2 crore for finishing as a runner-up. Rarh Bengal Tigers beat Delhi SG Pipers to book semi-final spot

The Rarh Bengal Tigers booked their spot in the semi-finals of the 2024-25 Hockey India League following a 2-1 win over the Delhi SG Pipers at the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela on Monday. Rupinder Pal Singh (55′) and Sebastien Dockier (59′) found the net for the Tigers, whereas Tomas Domene (27′) scored the lone goal of the match for the Pipers. The Delhi SG Pipers started off well in the match, putting constant pressure on the Tigers defence early on in the match. Soorma Hockey Club beat Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers 2-1 in a high-voltage match here in the 2024-25 Hero Hockey India League held at the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela on Monday. Rarh Bengal Tigers wins an eight-goal thriller against UP Rudras

A superb first-quarter performance set up a 5-3 win for the Rarh Bengal Tigers over the UP Rudras in the Hockey India League (HIL) 2024-25 at the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela on Wednesday. Gauthier Boccard (8`), Jugraj Singh (10` and 33`), Sukhjeet Singh (14`) and Abhishek (46`) scored for the Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers. Hardik Singh (47`) and Sam Ward (51` and 59`) scored in the fourth quarter as the UP Rudras went down fighting. The UP Rudras started brightly with its forwards Sudeep Chirmako and Lalit Kumar Upadhyay both finding their way into the circle but unable to test Jamie Carr in the Bengal Tigers goal.
