A complaint filed by a city-based RTI activist with the State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) has alleged that a few CCB officials demanded bribes and sexual favours from the women who were booked by the officials during a raid on a rave party held on the outskirts of the city in May this year. Based on the complaint, the SHRC has asked the Bengaluru City police commissioner to probe and submit the report by November 21. In his complaint, Vijay Dennis, the founder and president of Karnataka RTI Workers Seva Samithi, said that CCB officials, who were part of the raid, demanded a bribe of ₹10 lakh and created fake medical reports to implicate the women. They also sought sexual favours from them. The CCB carried out the raid on G.R. Farmhouse in Hebbagodi near Electronics City on May 19 and arrested five people. Reacting to a police raid at a farmhouse owned by his brother-in-law, BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Monday said “some people in Telangana” labelled a family gathering as a rave party. BRS leader KT Rama Rao Rama Rao said his brother-in-law, Raj Pakala, had organised a housewarming party which was labelled by his opponents as a rave party. “Raj Pakala built a house and had a housewarming ceremony with his family and friends. Hyderabad: A farmhouse in Telangana’s Janwada, said to belong to Raj Pakala, brother-in-law of former minister and BRS chief KT Rama Rao, was raided by the Cyberabad Police when a party was in progress. Thirty people were said to have been partying and stocks of foreign liquor were reportedly seized when the Cyberabad Special Operations Team conducted its raid on Saturday night following complaints by locals. Karnataka Police on Thursday submitted a charge sheet naming Telugu actress Hema and 87 others in connection with a rave party at a farmhouse near Bengaluru that was busted in May this year. The 1,086-page charge sheet submitted to the Bengaluru Rural Additional District Sessions Court mentions that Hema had consumed narcotic substances at the party themed ‘Sunset to Sunrise Victory’ on May 20, which was attended by around 100 people, including techies, Telugu actors, and others.
