DPR submitted for Nigdi-Chakan corridor
The proposed Nigdi (Bhakti-Shakti Chowk) to Chakan Metro corridor, a key component of Pune Metro Phase 2, has received a major boost with the submission of the revised Detailed Project Report (DPR) by Maha Metro. The project is expected to significantly strengthen connectivity across Pimpri-Chinchwad and the Chakan industrial belt, one of Maharashtra’s largest manufacturing hubs. Revised DPR proposes 45-km elevated metro corridor The revised DPR was presented at the Maha Metro office in Phugewadi by Maha Metro Managing Director Shravan Hardikar. According to the revised proposal, the 45.295-kilometre-long corridor will be constructed entirely as an elevated metro line at an estimated cost of Rs 12,937.23 crore.
