Matt Renshaw Recalled for Australia Squad for Mackay Test
The left-hander Matt Renshaw has been named in the Australia squad for the upcoming test of the home tour against Bangladesh. Only Jake Weatherald has been left out of the 13-member squad. Australia suffered a massive defeat in the first test against Bangladesh. Matt Renshaw has played 14 Tests so far and has scored 645 runs, including a high score of 184. If selected in the playing 11, Matt Renshaw will make his first Test appearance for Australia in more than three years. The 30-year-old last played a Test in Delhi against India in 2023, where he came in as a concussion substitute for regular opener David Warner. Renshaw has represented Australia in both ODI and T20I cricket. He now returns to the Test squad after Australia’s top order struggled in the first Test against Bangladesh.
