The ICC has rescheduled the Women’s Champions Trophy 2027 from the June-July window to February. The Sports governing body has approved the change at its quarterly meeting in Ahmedabad, with no reason given for the change. The eight-team tournament, first announced in 2022, will be played in the T20 format from February 14 to 28, the ICC announced in a press release. Hence, New Zealand’s tour of Australia for six white-ball games, which starts on February 27, will be forced to make changes. The International Cricket Council will also introduce the new tournament of ICC Women’s Emerging Nations Trophy as a 10-team event this year, which will feature five Full members and five associate members, selected based on rankings. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the rescheduled Common University Entrance Test-Undergraduate (CUET-UG) 2026 examination in two shifts at centres across the country and overseas. In Shift-I, the examination was held at 334 centres for 70,266 candidates. One foreign centre was operational and two overseas candidates appeared for the exam. No Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates were registered in this shift, the NTA source said. In Shift-II, the examination was conducted at 358 centres for 80,872 candidates. The event set to take place at the Khalifa International Stadium was originally scheduled to take place at the Qatar Sports Club on May 8 but has been postponed due to the situation in West Asia. “In recent weeks, the Diamond League has been monitoring the situation in Doha, working in close co-ordination with meeting organisers, Qatari authorities and other stakeholders,” the press release stated. “In the interests of athletes and spectators’ safety, a decision has now been taken to postpone the meeting. The North Western Railways on Friday announced cancellation of four trains and rescheduling of five in Rajasthan in view of the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, reported the PTI. Trains going to and from Munabao, a village close to the International Border in Rajasthan, are among those that stand cancelled. North Western Railway CPRO Shashi Kiran said that railways had taken this step as a precaution due to blackout and emergency conditions on the border. Passengers are advised to get information about the status of their train from the railway website or helpline before traveling, according to the PTI.
