Giri The Andhra Pradesh Joint Action Committee (AP-JAC), Amaravati, passed a series of resolutions during its fourth State general body meeting held in Vijayawada on Thursday. The conference saw the participation of representatives from various employee associations who discussed long-pending service, salary, pension, and welfare issues of government employees. At the organisational level, the meeting approved amendments to the bylaws of APJAC Amaravati, including increasing the number of State executive members and the formation of a dedicated women’s wing. The conference also urged the State government to officially recognise APJAC, Amaravati and include it in the State Joint Staff Council, citing its long-standing role in safeguarding employee interests. The delegates expressed gratitude to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and senior Ministers for holding discussions with employee unions in October 2025. The submissions to this effect were made by Attorney General R Venkataramani before a bench headed by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud while seeking an adjournment of the hearing on a PIL which is listed for hearing on Friday. “I will be providing some details about the collegium’s recommendations. Please list the plea (which is listed on Friday) after a week,” the top law officer told the bench which also comprised justices J B Pardiwala and Manoj Misra.
