LPG crisis updates LIVE: Restricting domestic gas cylinders can enable Andhra to manage fortnight: Distributors

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar on Thursday (March 12, 2026) said the government will take up the issue of LPG shortage in the Cabinet meeting, while urging the Centre to immediately address supply disruptions that are affecting households and farmers. In the wake of the U.S.-Israel-Iran conflict in the Middle East, the State is facing LPG refill crisis. Speaking to reporters, Mr. Shivakumar said the shortage of LPG supply was causing hardship to the public, particularly in rural areas, and insisted that the matter needed urgent attention at the highest level. “Today there is some issue with gas supply; gas is not available. This is causing problems for everyone. I had said this yesterday as well and the day before, but the (BJP) MPs are not speaking about it,” he said. Karnataka High Court declines to limit stay on government order restricting public gatherings | Legal News

The Karnataka High Court on Monday declined to limit a stay it had passed on a government order restricting public gatherings on public property without prior permission. The Government had sought the restriction of the stay so that it would benefit only the petitioners in the case. The matter was heard by a bench of Justice M Nagaprasanna. The government order restraining gatherings came at the same time the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) was planning to conduct route marches to mark the organisation’s centenary. It also followed statements made by Congress leaders such as IT Minister Priyank Kharge against RSS gatherings being held on government and public property. The U.S. National Labor Relations board accused Apple of interfering with workers’ rights to collectively advocate for better working conditions by restricting their use of social media and workplace messaging app Slack, the agency said on Friday. The NLRB complaint, issued on Thursday, accuses the iPhone maker of maintaining unlawful work rules around the acceptable uses of Slack, illegally firing an employee who advocated for workplace changes on Slack, requiring another worker to delete a social media post, and creating the impression that employees were being surveilled via social media. This is the second time the NLRB has hit Apple with a complaint this month. Last week, the agency accused the company of requiring employees nationwide to sign illegal confidentiality, nondisclosure, and noncompete agreements and of imposing overly broad misconduct and social media policies.
