‘Galti kiya hai’: Lalu Yadav on reversed govt order to downgrade security, vacate bungalow

RJD supremo Lalu Prasad on Saturday lashed out at the NDA government in Bihar over its earlier order directing former chief minister Rabri Devi to vacate the 10, Circular Road bungalow earlier allotted to her and its decision to downgrade their security cover, saying the administration has done a “grave wrong”. Former chief minister Rabri Devi and her family, including Lalu Prasad, had on Thursday vacated the government bungalow at 10 Circular Road, their home for nearly two decades. (ANI) Earlier, the state Home Department had withdrawn the Z cover of Prasad and his wife Rabri Devi and replaced it with security by the Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP). However, the department on Saturday upgraded the security of the two, providing them with Z category cover. Responding to the government’s decision to upgrade the security, Prasad told reporters: “The government is on the back foot.” Also read: Bill for PM, CM removal over 30-day jail, row over Rajnath’s ‘lie’ may dominate Parliament monsoon session from July 20 When asked whether the Bihar government had committed …

How Mediterranean plan reversed it in a year

How Mediterranean plan reversed it in a year

This 34-year-old didn’t think much of the fatigue at first. Like many around him, his days were shaped by convenience — late-night food deliveries, multiple cups of sugary tea, long hours of sitting and cans of energy drink. The weight gain crept up slowly, almost invisibly, until it added up to nearly eight kilos over two years. Till he developed a dull, constant pain on his right rib cage. Investigations revealed a grade 3 fatty liver, the most advanced stage of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease before it progresses into inflammation and damage. His liver enzymes were elevated, triglycerides were high and his blood sugar hovered in the prediabetic range. The patient was not excessively indulgent. But the accumulation of small habits—refined carbohydrates, hidden sugars, minimal movement and regular sodas — had quietly pushed his liver into a dangerous zone. At this stage, more than two-thirds of the liver can be infiltrated by fat, sharply increasing the risk of inflammation, fibrosis, and eventually cirrhosis. While the diagnosis is sobering, the liver possesses a remarkable capacity for regeneration. …

Sunjay Kapur removed Priya Sachdev from company board before death, claims mother: ‘Said something had to be reversed’

Sunjay Kapur removed Priya Sachdev from company board before death, claims mother: ‘Said something had to be reversed’

Updated on: Dec 02, 2025 11:19 am IST The late Sunjay Kapur’s mother has alleged that Sunjay had removed wife Priya Sachdev from Sona Comstar’s holding company before his death. As the legal battle for late businessman Sunjay Kapur’s estate intensifies, his mother, Rani Kapur, has now accused her daughter-in-law, Priya Sachdev, of grabbing control of the assets and company after Sunjay’s death in June. During the recent hearing in the Delhi High Court on Monday, Rani Kapur claimed that Sunjay had removed Priya from the company’s board in 2023 itself, as he wanted to ‘reverse’ something. Sunjay married Priya Sachdev in 2017. Sunjay Kapur’s mother’s allegations On Monday, the Delhi High Court heard allegations from Rani Kapur, who claimed that Priya Sachdev Kapur moved swiftly to take charge of Sunjay’s properties and business interests instead of mourning his passing. Rani Kapur claimed that Sunjay had removed Priya from his company, Sona Comstar’s holding firm AIPL, on 31 March 2023, telling the investors that “something needed to be reversed.” Rani said that this was inconsistent …

His fatty liver reversed from grade III to grade I, weight went down by 20 kg in 3 months: Lessons from a 35-year-old’s daily regime | Health and Wellness News

His fatty liver reversed from grade III to grade I, weight went down by 20 kg in 3 months: Lessons from a 35-year-old’s daily regime | Health and Wellness News

This is a weight loss story of a patient that caught me by surprise. A 35-year-old young man, weighing over 100 kg and with grade III fatty liver, dropped 20 kg in three months and went down to grade I. He showed that with consistent effort in maintaining diet, exercise and sleep discipline, it’s possible to reverse fatty liver. Remember there is no treatment for fatty liver as such and lifestyle correction continues to be the most effective pill. When the young man came to my clinic, he had high cholesterol, triglycerides, obesity, prediabetes, sleep apnea and elevated liver enzymes, which indicate that the liver is working under duress. Yet he said he did not drink at all. He had classic signs of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD), a condition where too much fat is stored in liver cells even when you do not drink a drop. This is becoming common among Indians who battle conditions like genetics, insulin resistance, cholesterol and obesity, all of which stress out the liver. That’s why non-alcoholic fatty liver …

Scientists Reportedly Reversed Type 1 Diabetes by Reprogramming Patient’s Fat Cells into Insulin-Producing Cells

Scientists Reportedly Reversed Type 1 Diabetes by Reprogramming Patient’s Fat Cells into Insulin-Producing Cells

For the first time, a team of researchers in China has reversed type 1 diabetes by converting a woman’s own fat cells into insulin-producing cells. Led by Dr. Hongkui Deng at the Peking-Tsinghua Center for Life Sciences at Peking University, the team is reported to create new insulin-producing pancreatic cells that freed her from needing insulin injections for more than a year. This promising result, published in the journal Cell, has sparked new possibilities for long-term diabetes treatment. New Approach to Insulin Production As per a report by Livescience, the team extracted fat cells from a woman with type 1 diabetes and chemically reverted these cells to a highly adaptable, stem-like state. Then, using a series of lab techniques, the team reportedly converted them into insulin-producing islet cells, which are usually found in the pancreas. The report further mentioned that these reprogrammed cells were implanted in patient’s abdomen, where they began producing insulin to stabilise the blood sugar. The report mentions that withing 75 days, the patient no longer needed insulin injections. Implications and Future Directions …
