Rockets were fired late Sunday from northern Iraq into Syria at a military base of the US-led coalition against jihadist fighters there, said Iraqi security forces. An oil pipeline runs from northern Iraq into Turkey, carrying crude exports which were the principal source of funds for the Kurds. However, there was no damage or casualties and the ship continued to it next port of call. News agency the Associated Press, quoted security firm Ambrey as claiming that the targeted vessel appeared to be a Marshall Islands-flagged, Greek-owned bulk carrier. It added that another Panama-flagged, Emirati-owned chemical tanker was nearby as well. The Houthi rebels have not yet claimed responsibility for the latest attack in the Red Sea.
