Madhavi Latha in Rajamahendravaram on Monday. | Photo Credit: Special Arrangement RAJAMAHENDRAVARAM Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) former president Gidugu Rudra Raju filed his nomination papers from Rajamahendravaram Lok Sabha constituency on April 22 (Monday).  The BJP has fielded party’s State president D. Purandeswari, while G. Srinivas will contest the elections on the YSRCP ticket from the constituency. Former Union Minister of State for Defence and Human Resources Development M.M. Pallam Raju, APCC former president N. Raghuveera Reddy and former MP Kanumuri Bapiraju accompanied Mr. Rudra Raju in the nomination rally held in the city.  Addressing the media after filing his nomination, Mr. Rudra Raju said that the Congress had changed the face of Rajamahendravaram, listing out the Rajamahendravaram airport and Adikavi Nannaya University among others. Mr. Rudra Raju began his nomination rally with a multi-faith prayer. Apart from his supporters, the Congress candidates from the Assembly constituencies of Rajamhendravaram City, Kovvuru, Gopalapuram, Nidadavolu and Rajanagaram joined the rally.  …

Dark Knight Rises, Watch Army’s Rudra Chopper Hit Targets At Night In Video By Spear Corps

The Army Aviation Corps’ Rudra armed chopper on a night exercise, in a video by the Spear Corps New Delhi: “The Dark Knight Rises.” This was how the Indian Army’s Spear Corps introduced the Rudra – the combat version of the Dhruv helicopter and the first home-grown attack chopper – in a new video posted on X, formerly Twitter. The new Spear Corps’ video gives a general glimpse into what goes behind preparing the Rudra for a night combat mission. In a section of the video titled “Arming The Beast”, Army Aviation Corps personnel are seen loading large-calibre rounds for the attack helicopter’s nose-mounted 20-mm cannon. Soon, the Rudra is seen in a circular and green night vision scope taking off in the dark. After flying low-level for a while, it fires some rockets at a group of clustered targets in the dark, which, however, appear clear and bright in the green glow of the night vision. The Rudra’s turret gun also opens up, firing what appears to be tracer bullets against the night sky. …

Akshay Kumar may have had a disappointing year at the box office in 2022 but his direct-to-digital release Cuttputlli was the most watched Hindi film last year, as per an Ormax report. Ajay Devgn’s web series Rudra The Edge of Darkness, also a psychological crime thriller like Cuttputlli, was the most watched web series. The film had Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead. Cuttputlli is followed by Yami Gautam and Neha Dhupia’s A Thursday on the second spot and Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar’s Govinda Naam Mera on the third spot, respectively.
